Hello!  Today I want to share a project I made a while back with my friend Mayra.  She designed this little bag/purse that holds 4 little mini cards.  I think it's so stinkin' cute.   I love mini things!  You could also use this bag to give away a small gift, like jewelry, money, or a gift card.  The paper we used is the This and That designer series paper, and the stamp set is the Hostess set, Banner Greetings.  We punched out several flowers of the same shape and size, then secured all the layers with a brad.  After the brad was secured, we sprayed the top flower with a little bit of water and scrunched up the flower.  Once we did the first layer, we moved on to the second, third and fourth layer, to get a more realistic looking flower.  Flat flowers just aren't as appealing as a scrunched up flower.  We punched some holes at the top of the bag, threaded some retired pool party ribbon, and then secured it on the inside by tying knots so the ribbon doesn't come out.  You could also use sticky strip instead of tying knots at the ends of the ribbon.  I used a small amount on the outside of the bag so that the ribbon would stay upright instead of falling down.

I hope you enjoyed today's post, and I'll see you tomorrow!  Thanks for stopping by!

Tag A Bag Samples

Hello!  I'm back with more samples to share from the live stamping event with Stampin' Up! this past Wednesday.  These are the gift bags we created with the Tag A Bag bundle in the Sale-A-Bration catalog.  Many people need gift wrap or bags last minute and don't have time to run to the store to grab something to wrap their gift in.  This bundle solves that problem!  You can make lots of different wrapping options in a snap to have on hand for days when time is short!  After I watched the live stream, I created all the samples they showed, and now I have bags and boxes on hand when I realize last minute that someone's birthday is coming and I forgot!

I shared this idea yesterday, but here it is again for those who missed it.  This is a box we covered with the chevron bag.  We cut the bag down a little and used it as a decorative belly band for the box.  A neat idea!

Here are some gift tags to use on cards, gift bags, or other sized boxes.  I left them blank so that I can stamp them later to match the occasion.
I left a lot of my tags blank because I never know what I'll need the bag or box for.  This way, the bag, box, or tag is already ready for me, and I can customize the tag at a later date to fit the reason/occasion for the gift.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope you enjoyed today's post.  I'll see you tomorrow!

Tag a Bag Boxes from Live Stream

Hello!  For those of you who didn't watch Stampin' Up!'s live stream stamping event on Wednesday night, here are some of the projects they showed that I made.  I loved the Tag a Bag items from the catalog before the live event, but afterwords, I was even more in love with what you can do with the boxes, tags, and bags!  So cute and really fun!  And I loved playing around with all the pieces.  Definitely a fun night of stamping and creating!  I also loved not having to come up with the ideas, and the prep was zero!  Such a treat for me.  And it was free to watch!  I got some really great ideas.  They showed how to cut a box down and make smaller, really cute ones, and alternate ways to use the Chevron print bags.  I loved all the ideas!  Today I'm going to show you the boxes we made, and then I'll come back and post the bags tomorrow.

This is a smaller box that we made by cutting the box apart and altered.  The new box size measures 4 1/2''.   We cut down the acetate sleeve to fit the new size.

This is a cute little 3'' box.  I love how small it is!  I'd love to get a cute little box like this.  I go crazy over mini things!

I love how we folded one of the blank tags over the edge of another tag.  Such a great idea, and I love the look!  I would never have thought of that!  Also, if you notice, we cut the top and bottom off of the chevron bag and slid it over the acetate sleeve, and then slid the sleeve over the top of the box.  Clever! I love these boxes.  I may have problems actually giving them away!  If you missed the live stream event, you can find it on youtube under youtube.com/stampinupvideo.  You will definitely learn lots of new things.  I sure did!!!  Thanks for stopping by today.  I'll see you tomorrow with the bags we made during this event.

Baby Card Holder and Matching Cards

Hello!  Today's project is one I made a while ago, but I still love it.  I made it for a friend who was having a baby, and everyone loved it.  I've made these with several different themes, and they always turn out great.  Who doesn't love a set of cards with envelopes in a matching folder that holds them all together?  Such a fun gift!

Because this project was made a while ago, all the stamps are retired, but Stampin' Up! does have two great baby stamp sets right now called Baby Prints, and Baby, We've Grown that would work beautifully for a recreation of this gift.  The ribbon I used is the Whisper White Taffeta ribbon, which is my absolute favorite ribbon by Stampin' Up!  It's so elegant and soft and just makes everything beautiful. Thanks for stopping by today, and I hope you enjoyed the project.  See you Tomorrow!

Handmade Box and Matching Cards

Hello!  Today's project is one I've wanted to share with you for a while.  I made this beautiful card box for my friend Mayra for her birthday, and I absolutely loved how it came out!  I had made one last year before going to convention, but I wanted to play around with other paper styles to see if I could make one that was less 'fancy or frilly' as my customers would say.   I made the box all by myself, just figured out the dimensions in my head. And of course, I made matching cards to go inside!  I used Daffodil Delight for my box, and then Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight for the cards.  The Designer Series Paper I used was Gingham Garden, and I used the Four You Stamp set.  I also used some retired Island Indigo Satin Ribbon, and the Apothecary Accents Framelits, Decorative Label Punch, Scallop Edge Punch, Dimensionals, and Basic Jewels Rhinestones.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope you enjoyed today's post.  I'll see you tomorrow!

Stamp Case Note Pads

Hello!  I've been busy here working away on several stamp projects.  Recently I've been into making note pads out of Stampin' Up!'s clear mount stamp cases.  A friend of mine gave me over a hundred of them, so I've been trying to figure out uses for them, and today's project is a note pad inside of the stamp case.  It's a great one for your purse, as the edges of the papers don't curl or bend up inside your purse.  It's protected by being in a slim case.  It's also great because sometimes my notepads will shed pieces of paper all by itself, and then I lose my notes I've written on them, but again, that's solved by the note pad being protected in the case.  This was one I made for my friend Mayra's birthday.  I used the Eastern Elegance Designer Series Paper, a lace doily, some silver glimmer paper, and the banner blast stamp set and banner punch.  (Get yours for FREE now during Sale-A-Bration with a $50 purchase!)

The inside stamps are from a past paper pumpkin kit (notes) and the lines are from a stamp set called Sent With Love.  The colors I used were Costal Cabana and the Silver Ink Pad from the Occasions Catalog.
I have lots more of these to show you, so keep checking back to see more designs of this note pad in a stamp case.  I'm loving it right now!  And I made a birthday banner too, so you'll want to come back and see that as well. Thanks for stopping by today.  I'll see you tomorrow!

Baby Onesies

Hello!  Last weekend I went to a baby shower for my sister-in-law, who is having a girl.  I've always thought it would be fun to make some cute onesies with some fabric cut outs sewed on.  I cut out these little pieces with my Silhouette, and then sewed them on with my sewing machine.  After that, I added some Stampin' Up! buttons that I sewed on by hand.  I loved using some of my Flirtatious fabric by Stampin' Up!  I've always wanted to cut into it, but never did until last week.  I love it!!!!  I have a ton of fabric to play with too.  So exciting!

Then I made this card for my sister-in-law as well.  I should have used the purple fabric from the Flirtatious fabric pack, because she's not too keen on pink.  Oh well.  Next time!

I was happy that she loved the card, because I stayed up WAY too late making it, and I just love this card that I cased from Heather Summers.  It's such a sweet card.  So precious!  I still want to frame one and hang it in my stamping area….  Love this card!  I used the new Baby We've Grown stamp set, and the Banner Blast Stamp set and Banner Punch that you can get for FREE right now during Sale-A-Bration, with a $50 purchase.  Such a great deal!  Now's the best time to stock up on all things Stampin' Up!  You can place an order by contacting me, or through my online store here.  Thanks for stopping by today, and I'll see you tomorrow!

Birthday Milk Carton

Hello!  Today's project is a paper milk carton I covered with paper from the Patio Party Designer Series Paper pack.  I love this paper, especially after I finished with this project!  I cut a lace doily out of Whisper White card stock with the Perfect Pennants Bigz die, and then some banners that I punched with the Banner punch (that you can get for FREE during Sale-A-Bration with a $50 purchase), and an S that I cut with my Timeless Type Alpahbet Jr. Sizzlets Dies, added a small heart with the Small Heart Punch, and that was it!  I love how the milk carton turned out, and as always, I didn't want to give it away, but was happy with the work when I did give it away to the girl I tutor.  The colors I used were Whisper White, Summer Starfruit, Baja Breeze, Raspberry Ripple, and Primrose Petals.

I loved this project!  Thanks for stopping by today, and I'll see you tomorrow!
