Hello!  Today I want to share a project I made a while back with my friend Mayra.  She designed this little bag/purse that holds 4 little mini cards.  I think it's so stinkin' cute.   I love mini things!  You could also use this bag to give away a small gift, like jewelry, money, or a gift card.  The paper we used is the This and That designer series paper, and the stamp set is the Hostess set, Banner Greetings.  We punched out several flowers of the same shape and size, then secured all the layers with a brad.  After the brad was secured, we sprayed the top flower with a little bit of water and scrunched up the flower.  Once we did the first layer, we moved on to the second, third and fourth layer, to get a more realistic looking flower.  Flat flowers just aren't as appealing as a scrunched up flower.  We punched some holes at the top of the bag, threaded some retired pool party ribbon, and then secured it on the inside by tying knots so the ribbon doesn't come out.  You could also use sticky strip instead of tying knots at the ends of the ribbon.  I used a small amount on the outside of the bag so that the ribbon would stay upright instead of falling down.

I hope you enjoyed today's post, and I'll see you tomorrow!  Thanks for stopping by!

Tag a Bag Boxes from Live Stream

Hello!  For those of you who didn't watch Stampin' Up!'s live stream stamping event on Wednesday night, here are some of the projects they showed that I made.  I loved the Tag a Bag items from the catalog before the live event, but afterwords, I was even more in love with what you can do with the boxes, tags, and bags!  So cute and really fun!  And I loved playing around with all the pieces.  Definitely a fun night of stamping and creating!  I also loved not having to come up with the ideas, and the prep was zero!  Such a treat for me.  And it was free to watch!  I got some really great ideas.  They showed how to cut a box down and make smaller, really cute ones, and alternate ways to use the Chevron print bags.  I loved all the ideas!  Today I'm going to show you the boxes we made, and then I'll come back and post the bags tomorrow.

This is a smaller box that we made by cutting the box apart and altered.  The new box size measures 4 1/2''.   We cut down the acetate sleeve to fit the new size.

This is a cute little 3'' box.  I love how small it is!  I'd love to get a cute little box like this.  I go crazy over mini things!

I love how we folded one of the blank tags over the edge of another tag.  Such a great idea, and I love the look!  I would never have thought of that!  Also, if you notice, we cut the top and bottom off of the chevron bag and slid it over the acetate sleeve, and then slid the sleeve over the top of the box.  Clever! I love these boxes.  I may have problems actually giving them away!  If you missed the live stream event, you can find it on youtube under youtube.com/stampinupvideo.  You will definitely learn lots of new things.  I sure did!!!  Thanks for stopping by today.  I'll see you tomorrow with the bags we made during this event.

Sale-A-Bration Gift Wrap Ideas

Hello!  I'm loving all of the stuff you can earn for free with a $50 purchase during Sale-A-Bration, and I saw these really cute ideas on the Stampin' Up! website yesterday and just had to share them!  I love how they made all of these projects.  These definitely gave me some new ideas and inspiration, so naturally I had to share them with you too!

IT’S A SALE-A-BRATION!

It’s time to celebrate. At Stampin’ Up!, we call it Sale-A-Bration! And it’s a great time of year.
Sale-A-Bration (US/CA) is a promotion where you can earn free, exclusive products with a $50 US/$60 CA purchase. I really love the offering this year. The Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper and Accessory Pack (US/CA) are some of my favorite things.
Using the twine from the Sweet Sorbet Accessory Pack, I created pom poms as a gift topper.  To create a pom, I simply wrapped a generous amount of twine around a ruler—but a fork also works well. Remove it from the ruler, then tie a piece of twine around the center of the entire twine bundle. (If you’re using a fork, tie it between the tines—it will hold everything in place.) Tie the knot as tightly as possible.  Then, cut the loops on each side and fluff.  I also trimmed longer strands to create a more uniform shape.
To create bigger poms, wrap the twine around your fingers or a larger object. The more twine you use, the fuller your poms will be. There are lots of tutorials available on Pinterest that can help you make great poms!
I also used the Sweet Sorbet Accessory Pack on my chevron bag.  To create an alternate-shaped gift bag, I started by trimming a tiny strip from the bottom of the bag. Next, I created new score lines on the outside edges at 1".  I also created a score line 2" from the bottom of the bag.  Then, I used the new score lines to create a fuller, more 3D shape.
Cut the vertical score lines on the bottom of the bag, but only up to the new 2" horizontal score line. Then you can fold in the sides and create the base of the bag.  (I added a scrap of cardstock to the bottom of the bag for added support.)
The cork pieces from the Sweet Sorbet Accessory Pack are a fun new way to embellish a card or tag.
Last, I created a simple card. I made polka dots on my card using a pencil eraser andWhisper White Craft ink. Then I added a fun greeting using the new See Ya Later Stamp Set (US/CA), Starburst Framelits, and Stampin’ Write Markers (US/CA).
I hope you’re excited about getting free products! Go ahead and Sale-A-Brate!
Thanks for stopping by today, and I'll see you tomorrow!  All of these items can be purchased by contacting me or by ordering directly from my website.  Thanks!

Burlap and Blooms Wreath

Hello! I love the new Burlap and Blooms wreath kit from Stampin' Up!'s Occasions catalog, and I saw this great post the other day on the Stampin' Up! website.  I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE what they did with the supplies instead of make a wreath!!!!!  Such a pretty idea!  I think I'll be casing this soon….

BURLAP AND BLOOMS

I love the Burlap and Blooms Wreath! The colors make me so happy and I am so excited to display mine in my home.  I love it so much that I would like to share with you an alternate use for the kit. Sara Douglass came up with this idea and shared it with the demonstrators at Stampin’ Up!’s European convention!

Instead of using the Burlap Ribbon and flowers to decorate the wreath, we decorated a package of Tag a Bag Gift Bags and a package of Kraft Gift Boxes!
We stapled the burlap ribbon onto the gift bags and used hot glue to adhere the bellybands and flowers to the boxes.
This way you can share the pretty flowers with more friends and family . . . and it’s bound to brighten up anyone’s day!
Now I'm off to buy two of those kits!  :)  Visit my online store to purchase your kits today.  www.williamsali.stampinup.net      Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope you got some great ideas.  I'll see you tomorrow!
