Birthday Thank You's

Hello!  Here's one of the types of cards I made for Thank you cards for my son's birthday.  I signed up for paper pumpkin during the free marker deal and I changed up my cards that came with the welcome kit to use as thank you cards.  I stamped a party hat in Real Red from the stamp set A Fitting Occasion and then punched it out with a 1'' circle punch, then layered that on another circle punched from a 1/8'' circle punch, and layered that on top of the starburst that came with the kit.  Now I have 4 ready to go cards for birthday gifts!

Tomorrow I will have more pictures of the other decorations and things I made for his party tomorrow.  I made some cute pinwheels and a banner, as well as name tags for the party favor bags, so I'll have those to show you.  I love how they turned out!
Thanks for stopping by today.  I'll see you tomorrow!

Another Thank You Card

Hello!  I'm not sure if you're like me, but I go through tons of thank you cards, so I'm always needing more.  I came up with this card the other day off the top of my head.  I'm not sure what my plan was in the beginning, but I will say, I'm happy with the result.  I started out with two large scraps I had left of my Eastern Elegance Desginer Series paper, and was able to make 8 full cards with those scraps.  I cut 8 pieces of 3 x 5 1/4'' strips to cover the base of my card.  Then I cut some of the lace paper doilies in half, stamped a thank you from the Another Thank You Photopolymer Stamp set, and punched it out with my Decorative Label Punch, added a pearl, stuck it on my card with a Stampin' Dimensional, and I was done.  How's that for easy?!  The colors I used on this card are Basic Gray, Crushed Curry, and Whisper White.  The card with the little ribbon on it was just a small scrap of ribbon I had left over from something else, so I decided to staple it on, and then I wished I had enough ribbon for all the cards.  Oh well!

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you have a great day.  See you tomorrow!  I have a cute present to show you that I gave to a friend of mine.  You won't want to miss it!

Save your scraps!

Hello!  I wanted to show you two cards I made that are made with scraps.  It's hard sometimes for me to throw away stuff when I think it can be used again for something else, so I've been known to save EVERYTHING from time to time.  But it does come in handy when you need just a portion of a piece of paper, rather than cutting or punching into a whole piece of paper.  I don't know about you, but when I don't have any scraps in a color, I hate having to cut into a whole sheet of paper just for a 1'' circle.  So, that's why I save my scraps.
Here are two cards I made with scraps from the Fresh Prints Designer Series Paper Stack.  Most of these pieces were left over, so I came up with the design for the card pretty quickly.

The other pieces were left over from another class that I had in February, and then I stamped my Thank you greeting from the Starburst Sayings stamp set and punched some circles and cut out the starbursts with my Starburst Framelits.  The banners I cut by hand, but you can use the Banner Framelits if you have those.  The colors I used were Real Red, Costal Cabana, Whisper White, Baked Brown Sugar, and Crumb Cake.  I punched out my heart with the small heart punch in the Silver Glimmer Paper, and that was it!  Thanks for stopping by today, and I'll see you tomorrow!

More Thank You Cards

Hello!  Can you ever have enough Thank You cards?   I can't.  I run out of them faster than I can say the word, it seems.  Here's another take on a thank you card I made with the Another Thanks photopolymer stamp set and the Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper.  (You can get this paper for free with a $50 order during Sale-A-Bration.  What a deal!!!)  That paper is so pretty, and I love, love, love that thank you stamp set.  It's a must have for anyone who makes thank you cards!!!

I made two of these, because I couldn't decide if I liked the greeting centered or down on the bottom left hand corner, and you know what?  I like them both!  They're different and I like each one.  I hope you enjoyed my cards today.  Thanks for stopping by, and I'll see you tomorrow!

Hearts Thank You Card

Hello!  I have tons to do today, so I won't be too chatty with my post today.  I've been a busy little crafter here, making tons of cards, and still have more to make!  This card was made in a snap with the new Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper available for free during Sale-A-Bration, which starts on the 28th!  I'm excited!  I used my favorite thank you stamp set, the Another Thank You photopolymer stamp set.

I made a Costal Cabana banner by hand and added a Summer Starfruit strip to the bottom of it for an extra something to the card.  Usually I make a card and feel like it's missing something.  I punched out some hearts with the small heart punch and added some ribbon I had left over from something else and that was it!  The colors used on my card are: Crumb Cake, Summer Starfruit, Costal Cabana, Crisp Cantaloupe, and Whisper White.  Hope you enjoyed today's post.  I'll be back tomorrow!  Thanks for stopping by!

Card Holder with Thank You Cards

Hello!  Today's post is a card holder with cards that was made for me by my friend Carrie Nelson.  She made this cute little folder and four cards with matching envelopes to go inside.  The Summer Starfruit and Gumball Green papers are from the In Color Designer Series Paper stack, the ribbon is Primrose Petals.  I just love the project.  It's so coordinated and so fun to receive nice gifts like this.  Thank you Carrie!

Thank you for stopping by today.  I'll see you tomorrow!

Sweet Sorbet Thank You Card

Hello!  Today's post is a card I made with new stuff!  I am in love with the new paper you can earn through Sale-A-Bration!!!!  I picked it from the catalog not really loving it, but now that I made some cards with it, I'm just the opposite!  As I was cutting the Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper, I was reminded of my favorite movie You've Got Mail and a fresh bouquet of spring flowers!  It made me happy just thinking about those things. I didn't have a recipient in mind when I first started making this card, but the more I worked on the card, I knew exactly who the card is perfect for-my sister in law!  She'll love it because it's totally her style and she loves color combinations like this.

Supplies used on this card were Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper (A free Sale-A-Bration Item available starting January 28th), Pansy Punch, Four You Stamp Set, Summer Starfruit Cardstock, Whisper White Cardstock, Pool Party Cardstock, Angled Tag Topper Punch, twine, and Sahara Sand ink.  You're going to love all the new products coming out in the Occasions Catalog on January 3rd!  I'm loving everything I ordered!  Thanks for stopping by today and I'll see you tomorrow!

Another Fall Card

Hello!  Happy weekend to you!  I hope you're enjoying it.  I sure am!  I shared a fall card a week or so ago and wanted to share a card like it with a different color scheme.  I love this card and knew that I'd be making a ton of them when I first saw it.  Here's the card.  You've seen it in pool party with crushed curry, but I was out of pool party so I decided to improvise a little and I'm happy with the result!

I think the champagne glimmer paper really makes the card!  I also love the birch paper in the background from the Thankful tablescape simply created kit.  I will say, that kit is a must have!!!!  You can still order it in time for arrival before Thanksgiving, or after Thanksgiving is over, you can order it to scrapbook your Thanksgiving memories. Order all the supplies to make this card in my online store here.  The greeting is from the Another Thank You photopolymer stamp set, one of my new favorites!  I love the photopolymer stamp sets.  They're awesome.  They stamp great, cling to the blocks great, are easy to clean, easy to re-stamp if your image doesn't come out just right, they're very affordable, and they come in a compact, easy to store package, which is great for all of us crafters out there who are short on space!  I also love thank you stamps, since I send a lot of thank you's, and this set is great because it has all different sized stamps in many different fonts, so there's sure to be a stamp for every project and card you're making!  And last but not least, I am in love with the Autumn Accents Bigz Die.  I love leaves and fall, so this die was made just for me!  It's a great die to have in your collection for anything fall related, and great for spring and summer projects as well, since you can make the leaves whatever colors you want!  This die has so many possibilities!  Cut out leaves with patterned paper, regular cardstock, felt, chipboard, vinyl, magnetic paper, wood sheets, anything!  You won't be sorry you ordered this die, I promise!!!  Order all these supplies and other high quality Stampin' Up! supplies in my online store here.  Thanks for stopping by today.  See you tomorrow!

Gently Falling Card #4

Hello!  Today's card is the last one of the set that I made to go inside the card holder I posted a few days back.  This card is neat because of the technique it uses.  I'm not sure what the exact name of the technique is, but you cut a piece of card stock (for this card, I used a 3 1/4'' x 4 1/2'' piece), stamp your images on the piece of card stock, and then cut it into three equal pieces and adhere it to your card, leaving an 1/8'' of an inch between each strip.  Or, you can cut three equal strips instead of one piece, to avoid having to cut it up again when you finish stamping.  (You'll just have to line all three strips up when stamping to make sure your images line up.  But remember, if you mess up, you can flip your paper over and use the back!  If you are using my measurements, then each strip would be 1 1/2 x 3 1/4''.)  Once I had all my images stamped, I glued a small strip of early espresso card stock to the very bottom strip, added two brads to the top right of my top strip, popped the three strips up using Stampin' Dimensionals, and stuck it to my embossed piece of card stock.

I love the subtlety of the metallic gold encore ink pad.  It adds a lot to the card, in my opinion.  The gold was stamped with the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set, the leaves are stamped with the stamp set Gently Falling, and the Thank You is stamped with the Lacy & Lovely stamp set.  The colors used on the card are pool party, very vanilla, early espresso, tangerine tango, and metallic gold.  I love this card. I hope you do too!  See you tomorrow for some Christmas card ideas!  Thanks for stopping by!

Gently Falling Card #2

Hello!  Here's another card from the card folder I made with Mayra.  I love all the cards in the folder, and couldn't wait to show them to my family and to all of you.  I hope you're getting some great ideas for fall cards to send to your friends and family, and to decorate your home for Thanksgiving!

This is another card using the stamp set Gently Falling from Stampin' Up!, the greeting is from Lacy and Lovely, and the strip of patterned paper is from the Thankful tablescape simply created place setting kit (Item # 132164, $19.95).  It was the napkin holder, cut into pieces to make several of these cards.  A great way to use up your left over pieces if you didn't use a whole kit, or another use for that great kit!  I love everything in that kit and have so many ideas for how to use each and every piece that comes in it.  It doesn't have to be just for place settings.  You can make cards with all of the paper, use the chalkboard pieces for labeling jars in your kitchen, organizing your linen closets or your kids toys, your scrapbook/crafting supplies, garden supplies, and you can also use the napkin holders in the kit to turn into a 6 x 12'' scrapbook tied together with binder rings or ribbon.  I'll have to show my scrapbook later on this month.  Anyway, I hope I've given you some ideas for how to use that kit, so now go order it!  :)  It's a great deal for all the items you get in the kit.  You can order it through my online store here.  Thanks for stopping by today, and I'll see you tomorrow!  Two more cards left to show you, and then I'll show you a few of my Christmas cards for all of you early birds getting a head start!

Gently Falling Card #1

Good morning!  Thanks for stopping by to see more of my cards from the card holder I showed yesterday.  I really love this project I made designed by my friend Mayra.  It's a card holder that holds 4 cards and 4 envelopes to give as a gift to someone.  Such a beautiful gift!  I'd love to be the recipient of something such as this, what about you?

The cards are absolutely stunning!  Each and every one of them are elegant and beautiful.  I might have a hard time giving these cards away!  Here's the first of four cards I made to go in the card holder.  You'll have to stop by tomorrow and keep coming back to see all of them!  :)

I used the wood grain embossing folder on the larger piece of very vanilla card stock to add some texture and dimension, and the 'twine' is strings from Stampin' Up!'s burlap ribbon.  You cut the finished sides off the ribbon and 'fray' it to get individual strings.  I tied it around some paper from the Thankful tablescape place setting kit and stamped a leaf from the Gently Falling stamp set.  The greeting is from the Lacy and Lovely stamp set.  Check back again tomorrow for some more of this set!

Gently Falling Card Holder

Hello!  Over the next five days, I'm going to be showing you a card holder I made with my friend Mayra.  She comes up with the greatest ideas!  I saw the card holder and the cards that go inside it, and loved them all immediately.  You'll want to check back everyday to see all the cards!  Here's the card holder for today.

The holder is made with a single sheet of 8 1/2 x 11'' card stock, and then tied off with some soft suede taffeta ribbon.  I stamped everything in the card holder with the stamp set Gently Falling.  It's a great fall set.  I absolutely love it!  Each year I tell myself that I don't need a new fall leaves set, because I already have this one, but now I want this one too!  I comes with 12 stamps: 6 solid images, and then 6 outlines to stamp over the image if you would like to step up your stamping.  The colors I used were pool party, early espresso, very vanilla, tangerine tango, crushed curry, and papers from the Sweater Weather Designer series paper pack, and also paper from the Thankful tablescape place settings kit.
Don't forget to stop by tomorrow to see more of the contents of the card holder!

For today's post, I wanted to share with you some cards I made using Stampin' Up!'s Gingham Garden Designer Series Paper and stamps from the hostess set Simply Sketched.  I made these with a coordinating box (You can see other samples of the box and matching cards here and here) that would make a great gift for someone.

Here are the three cards, slightly different but with the same supplies and layout:

The supplies I used for this card were the modern label punch, the scallop edge border punch (only on the last card, shown directly above), the Simply Sketched hostess stamp set, Gingham Garden Designer Series Paper, and rhinestone basic jewels.  The colors I used are Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Island Indigo, and Pear Pizazz.  That's it!  Easy!  Thanks for stopping by, and I'll see you tomorrow!

Gingham Garden Mini Thank You Cards

Hello!  I wanted to make a thank you card and treat for some friends of mine and this is what I came up with.  I made Chex Muddy Buddies and put them in a jar for each of my friends, covered the jars with Stampin' Up!'s gingham garden designer series paper, stamped some 'Thank You's' with the new 'Another Thank You' photopolymer stamp set, and then made some matching mini 3 x 3 thank you cards to go with the muddy buddies.

Sorry the lighting in the pictures is not great.  I was in a hurry to deliver the treats that same day and couldn't wait to take pictures later, since I was giving them all away.  See you tomorrow!
