Snowflake Card

Hello!  I hope you're not tired of Christmas cards!  I have one more to show you today.  This card was designed by my friend Carrie for our demonstrator meeting last month, but when I made my card, I changed it up slightly.  I love this card and the color scheme.  It's not one I would have ever thought of, but I like it!  The card was easy to make too!  I just put two strips of paper on the top and bottom part of the card, using none other than my favorite paper, Season of Style Designer Series Paper by Stampin' Up, wrapped some costal cabana ribbon around the top part of the card, and stamped a snowflake with the Festive Flurry Stamp set, cut it out with the matching framelits, added a rhinestone jewel to the center, popped it on my card with some Stampin' Dimensionals, and then added my greeting, and I was done!  This would be a great card to make if you're still rushing to get those last few cards on your list made like me!  It was quick and easy, and it doesn't take a lot of supplies!

By the way, the snowflake is stamped in Costal Cabana, but the greeting is stamped in Island Indigo.  I thought it would stand out a little more if the greeting was darker than the snowflake and ribbon.  :)  Hope you enjoyed today's card.  Thanks for stopping by, and I'll see you tomorrow!

Merry Little Christmas Card

Hello!  Today's card is one I received while at Stampin' Up!'s Annual Convention over the summer.  It was made by demonstrator Julee Hicks. I love this stamp set, Merry Little Christmas!  And with the deco labels framelits and the Season of Style Designer Series Paper Stack, this card was a piece of cake to make!

The ribbon is 3/8'' stitched satin ribbon in Midnight Muse.  I hope you've enjoyed today's card.  Thanks for stopping by, and I'll see you tomorrow!

Greeting Card Kids Christmas Card

Hello!  Today I want to share some mini Christmas Cards I made.  I love little cards.  Miniature things are so fun in my opinion!  These little cards are made with a small strip of paper from the Season of Style Designer Series Paper and a retired set called Greeting Card Kids.  I love old vintage holiday stuff like cards and decorations, so when I saw this set, it reminded me of vintage holiday stuff and knew I had to get it.  I just love it.  I stamped the Christmas girl on Whisper White card stock, colored her in with my Stampin' Write Markers, cut the top like a tag, mounted it on a piece of Baked Brown Sugar card stock, and then stapled a piece of Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding ribbon to the top of the tag and popped it on my mini card.  Pretty quick and easy!

I hope this inspires you to make some simple cards for your friends and family this year.  Thanks for stopping by today!  I'll see you tomorrow!  (I might be showing off a banner I made for my husband's birthday that was today, so be sure to check back!)

Christmas Gift Box

Hello! Today I wanted to share a Christmas gift box that I made at a meeting with some other fellow demonstrators.  The supplies and design were provided by Patty Bennett.  Thanks Patty for the supplies and the cute idea!  The box is from the Tag A Bag Gift Boxes (Item #130927  $6.95 for 8) sold by Stampin' Up!, and is dressed up with some Season of Style Washi Tape (#132155  $4.95), Cherry Cobbler 1'' Stitched Edge Grosgrain Ribbon (#132135 $8.95), and a tag cut from the Chalk Talk Framelits (#129380 $24.95), and lined with some of the Season of Style Designer Series Paper (#132340 $10.95).

This is a quick and simple way to wrap a small gift, and if you don't want to spend a whole lot of money on gifts this year, buy these boxes, dress them up, and put a small something in it for friends, teachers, co-workers, neighbors and family, and they'll be impressed with the beautiful packaging!  Hope you're staying warm out there.  Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you tomorrow!

DIY Christmas Post-It Note Holder

Hello and Happy St. Nicholas Day!  I hope you left your shoes out last night and woke up with them filled with an orange and some nuts or little treats.  I know we did here! :)  I love the Christmas Season!

Today I want to share a project designed by my friend Carrie Nelson.  I don't know anyone who doesn't use Post-Its, so this project makes a great gift for just about anyone!  The holder is just barely bigger than the Post-Its, so it measures 7'' x 3 1/2''.  Carrie cut a slit in the top part to hold a little mini pencil, and then I decorated the top with paper from the Season of Style Designer Series Paper Stack, Cherry Cobbler Seam Biding Ribbon, and a stocking from the Color Me Christmas Stamp set.  Thanks for the cute idea Carrie!

That's how easy this project was!  I hope this gives you some ideas for little gifts this Christmas Season.  All of these items can be purchased through my online store here.  Thank you for stopping by and I'll see you tomorrow!

Joy File Folder Card and Valentine Stamp sets

Hello!  Today's post will be quick, but I wanted to share this great file folder card I made at a meeting a few weeks ago with some other demonstrators.  This card was designed by Jamie Garrett with the new Envelope Punch Board by Stampin' Up!  This card has many different elements.  It uses the Season of Style Designer Series Paper, the Season of Style Washi Tape, 1/8'' taffeta ribbon in old olive, the Chevron Ribbon in Cherry Cobbler, the Pretty Presents Designer Tags, and the stamp set A Banner Christmas.

For those of you who are tired of Christmas stuff already, here's a post for you:  Stampin' Up! has introduced some of their valentine stamp sets and valentine kits for purchase.  Here are some pictures:

Warmest Wishes Cocoa/Coffe Cup

Hello!  Today's post is quick and easy.  I covered a styrafoam cup that you use for hot cocoa or coffee with the Season of Style Designer Series paper, stamped a greeting on a sheet of Whisper White card stock, then punched out a circle and mounted that on another circle, punched out a scallop circle punch, and mounted all three on a belly band of Crumb Cake on the cup.  I popped up the scallop circle with dimensionals and added a little star cut out of the silver glimmer paper for a little extra something. ( I love that glimmer paper!  It's on sale right now through December 2.  I suggest you stock up!  I did!)  I hope you like this project.  It's easy to recreate.  And you can fill the cup with hot cocoa, spiced cider, or whatever warm drink you prefer when it's cold!

Here's a little tip about how to cut the paper to cover the cup: you can't cut a straight strip of paper, because the cup is round, it wouldn't wrap around the cup right.  I pulled off the little label around the cup and used that as a template for my Designer Series Paper.  Then I used that template to make a smaller template for the card stock belly band. Hope that helps!  See you tomorrow!

Christmas S'mores DIY Treat Kit

Hello!  I hope you're enjoying your Thanksgiving weekend!  Today I wanted to share an idea for a little treat you can make up for friends, neighbors, teachers, co-workers, etc.  I got this idea from my friend Mayra, who made something like this for halloween.  I put a mounds bar in because I was out of plain Hershey's chocolate bars, but I would recommend putting in a plain Hershey's bar instead.

I used stamps from an old Stampin' Up! set from a while back, because I just love these little ones, but you could use whatever stamps you have on hand.  I die cut the bag topper from the Season of Style Designer Series Paper by Stampin' Up! with my Deco Labels Framelits.  The punches I used were the Curly Label Punch, a 1 1/4'' circle, and a 1 3/8'' circle punch.

I hope you enjoyed today's post, and that it gives you a simple idea for Christmas treats.  Thank you for stopping by today, and I'll be back tomorrow with another great idea for Christmas.  See you tomorrow!

Christmas Polka Dots

Hello!  Today's post is another idea for your Christmas cards.  Generally I don't like to do Christmas stuff until Thanksgiving is over, but I know a lot of people who already have their cards made (or gasp-purchased) by then and are already writing in them or sending them off (overacheivers!), so I wanted to share an idea or two for those of you who are in the making stage of your Christmas cards.  This card was really easy to put together.  I die cut two pieces of cardstock with my Deco Labels Framelit dies, one in old olive, the other in whisper white, stamped my image in soft suede from the Merry Little Christmas Stamp set, and mounted it on a piece of Season of Style Designer Series Paper.  Then I added some cherry cobbler seam binding ribbon, and that was it.  Very easy for those of you mass producing your cards, and it's not too expensive either!  So here are two pictures of the same card, with different dsp.

Supplies used: Soft suede ink, Season of Style Designer Series Paper, Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Ribbon, Deco Labels Framelits, Big Shot, Cherry Cobbler Cardstock, Whisper White Cardstock, Old Olive Cardstock, Stampin' Dimensionals.  All of these items and more can be purchased through my online store here.  Thanks for stopping by.  See you tomorrow!

Merry Little Christmas Card #2

Hello!  Here's another card I made using the stamp set Merry Little Christmas.  I love the stamp set because when I really read the stamp, I start singing the song in my head and it gets me excited for Christmas.  This card was really simple.  I used a cherry cobbler card base, cut a piece of paper from the Season of Style Designer Series Paper pack, stamped the greeting on a tag I got from an old Stampin' Up! flower tag kit, tied some ribbon on the card, and I was done!  This would be a great card to do if you have a huge Christmas card list!

I'll be back tomorrow with another card.  See you then!

Gift Bow Bigz Die and Halloween Treats

Hello!  I got to play around with Stampin' Up!'s Gift Bow Bigz L Die (#129977  $32.95), and I must say, I love it!  When I first saw it in the holiday catalog, I wasn't sold on it and honestly thought it was ugly and straight from the late 80's/early 90's, and that I was never going to use it!  But then I saw something made with it at my friend Mayra's house, and I realized it didn't have to look so dated.  I cut out some bows from various designer series paper packs from Stampin' Up! and was actually excited to use my new bows.  They can be really cute!

Note: I didn't use the extra piece that cuts out to make the center loop.  I left that off my bows because I felt it made my bows too frilly and too big for what I wanted to do with them.

As I looked at the bows, I wanted to do something with them, and here's what I did with the Halloween bow:

I made a thank you treat for my friend Sue, to give to her when I delivered an order to her.

I have more projects to share with you using these bows, so come back tomorrow to see them!
